This is an awesome place to camp. We stayed here for a week with a 24' travel trailer. The road to get up here is a little rough so it's just on the limit of what I was comfortable going over with the trailer but made it up and down just fine. There is trash service and vault toilets. No camp fee. There are 6 or 7 spots that all would have accommodated a trailer our size. It definitely got more crowded on the weekend but it was no big deal to find a spot on the Wednesday when we showed up. If you go here I'd recommend the Mt Baden-Powell and Mt. Baldy hikes.
First of all, kudos to Paul for making it up there with a trailer. The road in is rough, but I did it a couple of times in my Subaru Impreza. Love the scenery. The view is actually remarkable. You can see forever and there are quite a few camping spots. Right by Mountain High at the top. Plenty of trails and not far from Wrightwood, if you need supplies. Love it! You
